Our Mission



The Maine Association of Recovery Residences (MARR), a Maine nonprofit corporation, is an affiliate member in good standing of the National Alliance of Recovery Residences (NARR).  As part of its mission, MARR seeks to: (a) provide organizational support and knowledge-based resources to the operators of recovery residences in Maine; (b) assist the operators of Maine recovery residences in their efforts to comply with quality standards and a code of ethics; (c) ensure that high quality and ethical residential recovery housing is available to those in the community who struggle with substance use disorders; and (d) promote greater awareness among the public about the need for, and effectiveness of, residential recovery housing for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
